it's probably safer that way, lot's of people " guarentee " sex of hatchies but it's a pretty tricky science.By about 6 months it's easy to tell but early on not so easy.
I have bought dragons from reliable people only to find out later they were wrong,I am a breeder too but sometimes it is so hard to be sure !

Exactly what DL said. Only thing I would add, is a lot of people will only put them together during mating season, otherwise they house them separate. They really do thrive on their own, but all depends on the personality of the individual dragons

would the size of the enclosure have a lot to do with their behaviour? I have a 5 ft enclosure with plenty of hides, rocks, branches and sand for them to play around in. I'm figuring that if one is getting bullied by the other, it has plenty of space to run away to.dragon1.jpg

yes it's a big enclosure but there is only 1 basking spot and 1 cool zone,if there were multiple basking spots and multiple hides it might work. The way your tank is set up the bully would take prime position ( and probably most of the food)

here's a pic of a couple of juvies sharing a tank,as you can see there are multiple basking spots and multiple hiding spots, giving them lots of choices.20180414_185728.jpg

What sex are they? Do they fight or is one dominant? Or are they all buddy buddy best friends? Are you going to separate them, or are you going to wait and see what happens and only separate them if one is becoming a bully to the other?
So if I have a couple of basking spots, and a few hides etc, they should be OK?

You seem really set out to house two, looking for a reason why it'll be a good idea. Is there a reason why you want to house more than one?

these are a couple of runts I have separated from the main clutch, simply because of bullying. They are a perfect example of what we are talking about,1 has a missing foot and the other is missing a few toes and both are are less than half the size of the siblings; It is something ALL keepers should bear in mind, lizards DO NOT WANT A FRIEND,they only come together to mate or fight for a mate.
