    Can they ever become friends?

    Hey everyone!
I just got a new kitten, and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for successfully introducing her to my beardie. I've been putting them on the couch together, staying very close by of course, and letting them get a feel for each other, but they seem more interested in running away from each other. I really need them to get used to one another while she's still a kitten, because I don't want any problems between them in the future. Already she has tried to bat my beardie's tail with her claws, and I don't want it to go any farther than that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try doing that. Is there any way they ever could be out together, or will I always have to keep my kitten in a separate room when I let my beardie run around?

I really need them to get used to each other at least, because I've heard that some cats are able to get into terrariums.

Cat one room. Beardie separate room. Instinct will one day kick in and the cat may not mean to but can injure the beardie.

the trouble is kittens want to play and it may see the little lizard as a toy and that is where the problems start.
We have a 14 year old cat who wanders the house looking into enclosures, curious but not really interested so he is not a problem but I still wouldn't leave him alone with baby lizards.

Yeah that would probably be for the best. I will definitely put my kitten in a separate room while my beardie is out.
