    Toilet traning

One of my pick up customers was telling me that he has toilet trained his 4 beardies. No more poo in the enclosure so really no need to clean it.
He started by making a harness and lead. Outside on the lead and after a week they settled down and poo on the grass. Now they only poo outside. He now gives them free range of his small back yard with places to hide in case of birds overhead.

That's great. Mine hasn't poo'ed in the tank for a long time but that's because I bathe her every day and she poops during bath. Yes, very unnatural, guilty as charged.

Jax was the same when he was alive - would never go in his enclosure. Opie prefers not to as well but she is still to hyer to free range so she settles on pooping in her food bowl

Spiccy decided that she like to poo on her wooden branch so we are thinking how to change this, we have big bowl which not in much in use, so idea to try to train her to use it as toiled.
She usually poo 1 hour after she eats on the morning, so want to try just to place her in this bowl once she done with meal, any suggestion to make this more successful?

Mine hasn't pooped in the viv for a long time. Either in bath or in the backyard. 15-20 mins in the backyard and she'll poop. So, if you have time to take her out, might be the way to go. Should use a leash though. I made my own following the video below.

Got the parts, ie beads and ropey thingy from Spotlight.

Thanks for the hint, great idea and simple. Spiccy is not allowed into backyard without harness, we already know how fast she can be if she want

A warm bath is usually a good way to induce a poop

I have a cat at home, since kitten I've been training her and it seems nice when she grows up she understand well, I do not know whether the same technique can be applied with the bearded dragon, it might need a little bit patience

I think my beardie has trained me--in the morning (usually when I'm sitting down to brekkie) she'll start scratching at the glass and staring at me. That's my cue to run a shallow warm bath and usually in a few minutes she's done her thing. Greatly reduces enclosure cleaning!
