Hi and welcome to the forum, I recommend you have a read of
    http://www.australianbeardies.net/fo...gon-Care-Sheet
, then make a decision. They do require a bit of maintaining but lots of people keep them and have full time jobs etc. I have my own business plus I am full time carer for my dad and keep.9 dragons plus many other animals, so it can be done

Welcome to the best beardy forum.I couldn't agree more, that is the best place to start.
I also run my own business and keep 20 reptiles plus other animals. Beardies are simply the best animals to keep as pets.

Seems to be and from what I have seen, a lot of them have amazing colours. I did ask someone who has a couple of beardies in Malaysia about humidity but didn't really get an answer. I'm intrigued about the humidity too but eg. Florida, USA has high humidity but beardies are also very popular there. So, maybe high humidity may not be such a big issue, ie. does not really need to be between 35-40 as stated in some sites. Humidity in my viv is normally in the mid 50's (not sure about accuracy though). What readings are you guys getting in your setup?

Today with storm activity approaching I am getting from 31% to 47% across 8 enclosures with gauges, normally it's anywhere between 20-35% but since they aren't really expensive hygrometers they can't really be trusted to any great degree.
My inside/outside weather station says it is 49% but as I said storm is approaching.

Thank you guys for all of warm welcome. I am not very sure about the humidity thing. I don't have any friend who has a bearded dragon, this is my first time to venture the world of reptile. I definitely update here if I found info about the humidity. I might want to visit the pet shop later.

humidity is something you have to consider carefully as beardies come from a very arid environment as in VERY LOW or NO humidity and will kill them very quickly

The last few weeks our humidity here on the Gold Coast has been around 100%. We used to have wild beardies where l used to work about 5 minutes from home. Can they adapt?
