ID help please
My sister in law who has a large horse property in Langwarrin, Victoria found this yesterday. She gets snakes, bluies and turtles and we were wondering what it might be. There appears to be only one egg although the burrow showed signs of more digging overnight

Just this pic but I could get another - the egg is around 4 cm. I can get further info if required though Rick

Hi Kim
Only a guess though plenty of Gippsland Water Dragons around Vic.
The size of the egg also gives me that indication.

If it's a Gippy send the egg to me, always wanted a Gippsland water dragon, they are so much better looking than Easterns

My daughter has a female. She is stunning but rather flighty. I think I will stick with my beardie much less maintenance

No Rick. Can't have you starting bad habits now.
Here on the Gold Coast we get plenty of water dragons. I am pulling water out of a hole in a quarry. Not much by way of life in there but a baby water appears most days.
Tried to upload pic of the hole from my phone but not smart enough

I thought like that many years ago when I only had a pair of beardies, somehow I have become the owner of 4 species of dragon and 4 species of python plus some other reptiles, chooks and a cat
