[QUOTE=briansworms;62581]No Rick. Can't have you starting bad habits now.
Here on the Gold Coast we get plenty of water dragons. I am pulling water out of a hole in a quarry. Not much by way of life in there but a baby water appears most days.
Tried to upload pic of the hole from my phone but not smart enough20181116_122232_resized_1.jpg
I managed something. The pics show left and right and straight ahead. Just to give an idea of how barren the place is but the water dragon looks healthy enough.

Strange place for a water dragon no doubt, usually in a river with trees on the bank but the water looks clean , I don't know where he would find food though

Reptiles are so addictive. Its so hard to stop at one

I would be the same if only my partner shared my enthusiasm (would never agree to a snake and is not really confident around Opie).

Apart from Opie we have 4 rescue cats, a pair of rainbow lorikeets and we bred and raced horses for years.

She has since found more around the back dam Rick - I might be able to send you a bundle - it would be like a lucky dip - you might end up with a gippy, a turtle or an eastern brown lol

There are no fish in the pond only weed at the bottom and some algae. Red dragon Fly and a plain looking dragon fly the only insects around. At the entrance to the Quarry there is a large pond with water lillies. There is always 2 or 3 big water dragons getting a few rays.

I know 1 of their favourite foods is cabbage moth, so maybe the insect life is enough to keep them going
