Usually there's something they can pick up by just chatting with you. Be prepared and take photos of your enclosure, test all you temps, document when they poo, what they eat, weight too if you can. Take a fresh fecal sample for internal parasite testing. My beardie has a receded gum on one side, and the vet recommended more crunchy food. Not sure on the discoloration though, may be fungal or something. If your vet doesn't ask about your husbandry at all - ditch em, they know nothing about reptiles.
