    Reptile one tank

Hey guys i bought a reptile one tank off somone its a 90x45x60cm tank. I got it for really cheap as the door lock is missing the key and i'm just wondering if you guys know a place where i can buy these locks and get a key? Also the lid is the old style it does not have the ports in them for your lights i'm also wondering if they make a updated version for it?

Hmmm cheap for a reason. I believe you should be looking at 1200 long.
Try Bunnings or a cabinet hardware supplier.

Hey bud i will definitely be upgrading in the future this is for a baby dragon! Once it gets bigger i'm definitely going for a 1200 even bigger if i can!

Just a quick question what are some good enclosures? I want a big enclosure that has a similar setup as the reptile one as i like the deep pockets before the doors start so i can put heaps of substrate in. Basically just want a enclosure that i can put about 100mm of substrate any recommendations?

look on crackbook in reptile sales etc. there are always people selling old enclosures and people advertising custom built ones. Melamine or wooden ones can have that high front and you can put an extra piece of glass a bit higher, it's called a sand guard to keep the sand out of the tracks. Don't buy glass ones from pet shops , they don't hold heat well for starters.

I mentioned the 1200 size because that is what you will need to go to. Just hurts to see people pay good money only to realize that they need to upgrade later. Good thing that you are aware of it. Is there a need for deep substrate? I know not much about BD'S except what I pick up here lol

they do like to dig, but mine only have about 50mm of sand which seems to be enough. You would need to have thick clay type soil for them to dig much deeper.

for a temp tank it will do.Unscrew the top to slide the lock up and off. cut holes in the mesh to fit your lights and it will do for 6 months till you setup your forever home
