    Going for 1 week vacation

    Hello,

We are planning to go for a short 1-week vacation and thinking about what will the best approach for our beardie, it's either:
    - leave her alone with some BSFL in the enclosure so she can eat if she wants
    - leave her @ reptile shop where she will be looked after

I'm inclining towards the first option due to a number of reasons:
    - she is currently slowed down and sleeping a lot, so my feeling she will be just happy that no one bothers her for some time
    - moving places will create stress which doesn't justify benefit due to the relatively short period of time

    Any opinions, suggestions?

    Regards,
    Alex

Best to just leave her alone and turn off all the lighting. 1 week wont hurt and since you say she is sleeping a bit anyway she will just have a bigger nap.
When you get back heat everything up and give her a good feed
Downside of taking her to a petshop is the lack of quarantine in both directions.

    Thanks a lot.
Is there any particular reason to turn lights off? I can lower temperature on the thermostat and her current setup has 2 levels where she actually got more hen plenty of shadow and hiding spots

Turning the lights off will mimic being burrowed down for brumation. Just encourages the longer nap.
