    Melbourne to Cairns?

Not a beardie question but instead one about shipping some southern angle-headed dragons from Chilly Melbourne to Cairns. I'm trying to find homes for the 12 little angle-heads I've still got from last breeding season and had an expression of interest from Cairns. Does anyone know what the procedures are to get an export permit and how to pack the little ones so that they'd be likely to arrive alive? With reduced air traffic I'm concerned about timelines--I just got a letter from the US yesterday (23 June) that was posted on 14 May. Guidance appreciated (as are enquiries closer to home, should anyone want some of the cute little lizards).branch stacking.jpg

Hi Larry, I don't think you'll be able to freight your dragons just yet. I tried to send some Dwarf beardies to Adelaide recently but border closures prevented that.
    Here's a link for a freight agent ... https://feathersandscalesfreight.com.au/get-a-quote/
As for the permit that is easily arranged with your licensing authorities ( In NSW it's OEH and the permit costs about $29)
Packing :- I put 4 beardies in 2 small sistema tubs and then put those into a bigger sistema tub with shredded paper for packing, lots of air holes obviously and cable ties for security. Seeing you have 12 dragons , maybe a few small tubs inside a cat box or similar?

The post is still going all over Australia so couldn't see any reason courier companies wouldn't be doing the same. Passenger flights are limited but cargo planes would still be operating.
