    How many woodies is healthy?

Hey there, my son's 9 month old beardie has gone from eating next to nothing as a baby to eating non-stop if we'd let him - we had some issues in the first few months of him trying to brumate and so eating very little, as a result he's smaller than he would've been at his current age. We are feeding him woodies twice a day, and he can easily knock back 20-30 small ones in a sitting, and would likely eat a lot more. I'm assuming you can overfeed a beardie? Part of me is loving the fact he's now really interested in food, and is hopefully playing catch up in the size department, but at the same time, I don't want to cause him any problems with overeating/digestion etc. He eats his salad every day too.

    Any advice appreciated!

As you say on the one hand it's good he is eating but you don't want to go overboard with the feed. If he eats too much he could develop fatty liver which you don't want. There is no definite number that is right.
He might be hungry because the bugs are too small. Can he eat bigger woodies ? remember the size is regulated by the gap between the eyes.
If possible I would up the size and reduce the feeds to once a day. I feed my dragons veg in the morning and bugs in the arvo.

Yeah, I've just moved him up to the next size, will reduce to a feed a day as you suggest and see how he goes - thanks
